Solution

Given as :The initial quantity of sugar =18kg
The initial rate =Rs.25perkg
So, The money spend on 18kg at rate Rs25perkg=Rs25×18=Rs450
The price of sugar reduced by Rs 5 per kg
So, The final rate of sugar =Rs.25perkgRs5perkg=Rs20perkg
Now, Applying unitary method
The money spend on 18kg at rate Rs.25perkg=Rs.450
The money spend on xkg at rate Rs.20perkg=Rs25x
So,Rs.20x=Rs.450
x=45020=22.5kg
Hence, The quantity of sugar bought at the rate of Rs.20perkg is 22.5kg
