Solution

Price of one cycle = Rs. 500
Number of cycle purchased = 25
New price of the cycle = Rs. 500 + Rs. 125 = Rs. 625
Let number of cycle will be purchase = x
Rate of cycle (in Rs.)500625Number of cycles25x
More rate, less cycles
By inverse variation:
500:625=x:25500625=x25625×x=500×25x=500×25625=20
Number of cycles purchased = 20
