Solution

Goiter develops in both the conditions, i.e., hypothyroidism (endemic goiter) and hyperthyroidism (exophthalmic goiter). If the person is having low body temperature, low blood pressure, along with sluggishness and tendency towards obesity, she/he is suffering from hypothyroidism. On the contrary, if she/he is having high body temperature, high blood pressure, tachycardia, increased appetite, nervousness along with bulging of eye balls (exophthalmos), she/he is suffering from hyperthyroidism.
