The trolley is moving with velocity = 2^i and a ball in thrown up with velocity =2^jm/s.
Wrt tp trolley, the ball completes a projectile motion whose range is given by:
R=2uxuyg
As initial velocity u=2^i+2^j, so,
R=2×2×210=0.8 m
The ball return to same horizontal after computing a range of, R=0.8 m
