A person is walking parallel to a railway line , at a speed of 5 km/hr. A train travelling in opposite direction at 49 km/hr, passes him in 12 seconds. Find the length of the train.

The correct option is B 180 m
We know
distace=speed×time
Here the distance is the length of the train.
When two objects bodies are moving in opposite directions at x km/hr and y km/hr then their relative speed=(x+y) km/hr
Therefore, relative speed=49+5=54 km/hr
relative speed=54 km/hr=54×518=15 m/s
time=12 sec
distance=15×12=180 m
