Solution

Let the number of caps sold = xThen, the number of pair of socks sold = 18-xNow, SP of 1 cap = Rs 60Now, SP of 1 pair of socks = Rs 45SP of x caps = Rs 60xSP of 18-x pair of socks = Rs4518-x = Rs810-45xNow, according to question : 60x + 810 - 45x = 96015x = 960 - 81015x = 150x = 15015 = 10So, number of caps sold= 10Number of pair of socks sold = 18 - 10 = 8
