A person spends 1/3 of the money with him on clothes, 1/5 of the remaining on food and 1/4 of the remaining on travel. Now, he is left with Rs. 100. How much did he have with him in the beginning?

Assume that initially he had Rs. X

He spent 13 for cloths =13×X

Remaining money =23×X

He spent 15 of remaining money for food =15×2x3=2x15

Remaining money =2x32x15=8x15

Again, he spent 14 of remaining money for travel =14×8x15=2x15

Remaining money =8x152x15=6x15

But after spending for travel he is left with Rs. 100. So,

6x15=100

x=Rs.250
