Solution

The correct option is C 0.67 D
According to lens equation, we have,

1f=1v1u

Consider an object at infinity. The lens should form a virtual image of this object at 1.5 m from the lens.
So, u=, v=1.5 m

Thus, it should be a divergent lens and its focal length should be 1.5 m

So, power, P=1f=11.5=0.67 D

Hence, (C) is the correct answer.

Why this Question ?Concept : Myopia can be corrected using divergent lens.
