The correct option is B y = 2x + 0.5 Distance covered by the person for every 1 h = 2 km = Rate of change
∴ Slope (m) = unit rate of change = 2
Initial distance covered by the person (b) = 500 m = 0.5 km
The slope intercept equation is written as:y=mx+b
Substituting the values of m and b there, we get: y=2x+0.5
Therefore, the equation for the distance covered by the person is y = 2x + 0.5.
