Solution

The correct option is D 5 km
Suppose the person travels x km at a speed of 10 km/hr.
He then travels 15x km distance with speed of 20 km/hr.

Total time he takes for the trip is
x10+15x20 hr which is equal to 1 hr.

x10+15x20=1 2x+(15x)20=1 x+1520=1 x+15=20 x=2015 x=5

Therefore, he travels 5 km distance at a speed of 10 km/hr.
