A petrol tank is in the form of cylinder whose radius is 1.5 m and length is 7 m. Find the quantity of petrol in liters that can be stored in the tank? [4 MARKS]

Solution: 2 Marks

Height of the cylinder = h = 7 m

Radius = r = 1.5 m

Volume of the cylinder
$=V=\pi r^{2}h$

$=\frac{22}{7}\times 1.5\times 1.5\times 7$

$=49.5m^3$

We know,
$1000L=1m^3$

Hence, the volume of the cylinder is
$49.5\times 1000=49500L$
