Question

A photograph of a bacteria enlarged 50000 times attains a length of 5 cm. What is the actual length of the bacteria? If the photograph enlarges 20000 times only what would be the enlarged length?

Solution

Let x be bacteria size,then
50000x=5cm
x=5/50000
x=1/10000=10^-4cm
if it is enlarged 20000 times,then
10^-4×20000=2cm
Enlarged length will be 2cm.
