Initial momentum of photon=hλi
scattered momentum of photon=hλf
Initial momentum of electron=0
Final momentum of electron=p
Momentum conservation for horizontal component, hλi+0=hλfcosθ+pcosϕ....(1)
for vertical component,0=hλfsinθpsinϕ....(2)
Given, θ=600,λfλi=3λi,λf=4λi
so from (1) and (2), pcosϕ=7h8λi,psinϕ=3h8λi
tanϕ=37=0.25.
