Solution

The correct option is

B

20,10

Let the length of the cloth =x m and its cost be y rs.

Then Rate will be,

xy=200y=200x.....(i)

According to the question-
(x+5)(y2)=200
Put the value from equation (1), we get

(x+5)(200x2)=200

Solving this we get,

x2+5x500=0

Or x2+25x20x500=0

(x20)(x+25)=0
So, x=20 m or x=25 m (Not possible)

So, x=20 m

Putting value of x in equation (1) we get,

y=20020=Rs10
Hence, the cloth is 20 m long and price of cloth per meter is Rs.10
