(i)We know that heat energy needed to raise the temperature by 15ois = heat capacity × change
in temperature.
Heat energy required = 966JK−1×15K=14490J.
(ii)We know that specific heat capacity is = heat capacity/ mass of substance
So specific heat capacity is = 966 / 2 = 483Jkg−1K−1.
