Finding the side of the regular hexagon :

We know that, a regular hexagon has $6$ equal sides .

So, perimeter of regular hexagon $=6\times \text{side}$

But perimeter $=40\text{cm}$ [ Because length of piece of string is used to from a regular hexagon ]

$\therefore$ $6\times \text{side =40}$

$\text{side =}\frac{40}{6}\text{= 6.6 cm}$

Hence, length of each side of regular hexagon is $6.6\text{cm}$
