Total length of wire = 78 metre

Length of one piece of wire = 14 metre

Length of other piece of wire = Length of the original wire minus the length of one piece of wire
[0.5 marks]

= 7814
[0.5 marks]

= (7×1)(1×2)8
[0.5 marks]

= 728
[0.5 marks]

= 58
[0.5 marks]

∴ Length of the other piece of wire = 58 metre.
[0.5 marks]
