According to Kepler's second law which states, “A radius vector joining any planet to the Sun sweeps out equal areas in equal lengths of time”.

During path DAB planet is nearer to sun as compared with path BCD. So, velocity of the planet near point A is higher than at point C. So, the time taken in travelling DAB is less than that for BCD.
