As the plant seed have only coyledon, the plant is a monocot. and monocot root will have a suberised exodermis, pith and polyarch xylem.
In the cortex of monocot root, a few layers of cell below the epidermis have thick walls due to the deposition of a chemical suberin. These layer of suberized cells is called exodermis.


There are also alternating zone of xylem present in root. The number of xylem patches far exceeds to ten. That is why, they are called polyarch. In monocot root, there is a large sized pith made up of parenchyma tissues.
