Modulus of subgrade reaction is calculated for a settlement of 0.125 cm

Pressure corresponding to 0.125cm settlement
$= \frac{1500}{\frac{π}{4} \times 30^{2}}$

$= 2.12 k g / c m^{2}$

$= \frac{P}{0.125} = \frac{2.12}{0.125}$

$= 16.96 k g / c m^{3}$

Diameter of standard plate = 75 cm

Modulus of subgrade reaction for standard plate is

$\frac{K_{1} a_{1}}{a_{2}} = \frac{16.9 \times 30}{75} = 6.78 k g / c m^{3}$
