A plot is in the from of a rectangle ABCD having semi-circle on BC as shown in given figure. If $AB=60$ m and $BC=28$ m, find the area of the plot.

$\Rightarrow$ Here, $l=60m,b=26m$ and $r=\frac{28}{2}=14m$

$\Rightarrow$ Area of rectangle $ABCD=l\times b=60\times 28=1680m^2$

$radius\left(r\right)=\frac{BC}{2}=\frac{28}{2}=14m$

$\Rightarrow$ Area of semicircle $=\frac{\pi r^2}{2}=\frac{22\times (14{)}^2}{7\times 2}=308m^2$

$\therefore$ Area of the plot $=$ Area of rectangle $ABCD$ + Area of a semicircle.

$\therefore$ Area of the plot $=1680m^2+308m^2=1988m^2$
