A plot of land is the shape of a right angle isosceles triangle. The length of the hypotenuse is $50\sqrt{2}$ m. The cost of fencing it at rate of Rs. 3 metre will be.

AB = BC = x (say)

$A{C}^2=A{B}^2+B{C}^2$ (pythagoras)

$(50\sqrt{2}{)}^2=x^2+x^2$

$2x^2=2500\times 2$

$x^2=2500$

$x=50$

fencing in done on borders so calculating

sum of each side is

$AB+BC+AC=50+50+50\sqrt{2}$

$=100+50\sqrt{2}=50(2+\sqrt{2})m$

$1m\to Rs3$

$50(2+\sqrt{2})m\to Rs\frac{3}{1}\times 50(2+\sqrt{2})$

$=150\times 3.41$

$=Rs512.13$
