Solution

The correct option is D the cost of the materials, including tax

The total cost consists of the site visit fee = constant

An hourly cost = which depends on the number of hours

The cost of the materials (which are taxed).

The constant in the equation is 75 and is therefore the site visit fee.

45 is being multiplied by h (the number of hours), so 45 must be the hourly rate. That leaves the remaining term, 1.06(82.5), which must be the cost of the materials (82.50) plus a 6% tax.

Q.

Direction(1-6): Answer the questions based on the information given in the following Passage:

The figure given below shows the relation between quality rating and number of man hours in the processing of 14 bronze statues at Kamal Workshop. The hourly cost of processing is 800 rupees and the price of the bronze statues are directly proportional to the quality rating and the relation between price and quality rating of a bronze statue is given by

Price in rupees = 2400 × Quality Rating

Assume that any other cost including the cost of material is considered in the hourly cost of processing. The statues are numbered from 1 to 14 in the increasing order based on the number of man hours in processing, for example; the statue with man hours in processing as 2, 3, 4 hours are numbered as Number 1 , Number 2, Number 3 so on.

Common Solution:

Based on the data shown above we can create the following table which shows the man hours required , quality rating, cost, price and profit for each of the 14 bronze statue made in Kamal Workshop.:
