Given that AB = 15 cm, AO = 17 cm

To find BO

Applying Pythagoras theorem

${B O}^{2}$ = ${A O}^{2}$ – ${A B}^{2}$

${B O}^{2}$ = $17^{2}$ – $15^{2}$

${B O}^{2}$ = 289 – 225

${B O}^{2}$ = 64

BO = 8 cm

Therefore the radius of the circle is 8 cm
