A point object O is placed in front of a concave mirror of focal length 10 cm. A glass slab of refractive index μ=3/2 and thickness 6 cm is inserted between the object and mirror.
Find the position and nature of the final image when the distance x shown in figure, is 5 cm.

The correct option is B 17cm, real
the shift observed due to glass slab is t(11μ)=6(123)=2

hence the object distance for mirror is 322=20

u=30 ;f=10

1v+1u=1f

1v+130=110

v=15

and the shift due to slab counts again i.e, final image distance is 15+2=17
image is real (-ve sign)

option B is correct
