Then, x1=5, y1=-2 and x2=9, y2=6
Also, m ā€‹= 3 and n = 1
Let the required point be P(x, y).
By section formula, we have
x=mx2+nx1m+n, y=my2+ny1m+nx=3×9+1×53+1, y=3×6+1×-23+1x=324, y=164x=8, y=4
Hence, the coordinates of P are (8, 4).
