As we know that,
$1 m = 100 c m$

Therefore,
Height of one pole $= 3 m 25 c m = 300 + 25 = 325 c m$
Height of another pole $= 4 m 12 c m = 400 + 12 = 412 c m$

Therefore,
Difference between the height of the poles $= (412 - 325) = 87 c m$
