A police van moving on a highway with a speed of 30 km h1 fires a bullet at a thief's car speeding away in the same direction with a speed of 192 km hr1, If the muzzle speed of the bullet is 150ms1, with what speed does the bullet hits the car ?

the velocity with which the bullet hits the car is,

= speed of police van + speed of the bullet - speed of the thief's car

=30×10003600+150192×10003600

=8.33+15053.33

=105m/s
