Area of trapezium = h$\frac{(a+b)}{2}$ sq. units

Let the length of bridge be x

$\Rightarrow$ $\frac{1}{2}$ × (55.6 + 34.4) × x = 1080$m^2$

$\Rightarrow$ $\frac{1}{2}$ × 90 × x = 1080$m^2$

$\Rightarrow$ $\frac{1080}{45}$ = x

$\Rightarrow$ x= 24 m
