Let resistance of AB=R and power supply has voltage =V, AB=L and AC=5m

Current in the circuit I=VR
So balancing voltage VBal=RAC×I=(R×5L)×VR=5VL .... (1)

Now consider internal resistance of power supply =r and balancing length =l
Current in the circuit I1=VR+r

Now balancing voltage VBal=(R×lL)×VR+r ........(2)

By equation (1)&(2) - 5VL=(R×lL)×VR+rl=5(1+rR)l>5m
