Resistance in (AB),RAB=12r
emf of cell at D, VD=
Resistance of cell at D, RD=r
emf of cell at C, VC=/2
Resistance of cell at C, RC=3r

Current in circuit,
i=ϵ12r+r=ϵ13r

Let x be the length AJ at which galvanometer shows null deflection,

i(xL12r)=ϵ2

ϵ13r[xL.12r]=ϵ2

x=13L24

Hence, option (C) is correct.
