A principle of ₹ 40,000 is deposited in a bank which offers a simple interest at the rate of 10% per annum. Calculate the amount at the end of the year.
Given
P = ₹ 40,000, T = 1 year, R = 10%
SI = Principal×time×rate100 = 40000×1×10100 = ₹ 4,000.
Amount at the end of the year = Principal + SI
= ₹ 40,000 + ₹ 4,000
= ₹ 44,000
