A projectile can have the same range R far, two angles of projection at a given speed. If T1 and T2 be the times of flight in two cares, then find out relation between T1 , T2 and R.

The range of a projectile is given as

R=u2sin(2θ)g..........(1)

Let θ is the angle of projection for first projection and (90θ) is the angle of projection for second projection. So,

T1=2usinθg..........(2)

T2=2usin(90θ)g

T2=2ucosθg.........(3)

Multiplying T1&T2

T1T2=4u2sinθcosθg2

=2u2sin2θg2(sin2θ=2sinθcosθ)

2Rg=T1T2

R=T1T2g2
