Let the velocity of projectile be u and projection angle be θ, then
Horizontal velocity =ucosθ
Velocity along vertical direction =usinθgxucosθ

So, velocity of a projectile at any instant of time (t) is
v2=v2x+v2y=(ucosθ)2+(usinθgxucosθ)2
v2=u2cos2θ+u2sin2θ+g2x2u2cos2θ2gxtanθ
KE=12mv2=12mu2mgxtanθ+mg2x2u2cos2θ
The given equation represents the equation of a parabola.
Note: Answer cannot be (b) as KE of a projectile never becomes zero.
