Proton is completing 5 revolutions in 25 μs. Thus, its time period will be

Tp=255=5 μs

The time period of a charged particle undergoing a circular motion in a uniform magnetic field is given by

T=2πmqB

Tmq ( B is same in both case)

TαTp=mαmp×qpqα

An αparticle is actually a helium nucleus which consists of two protons and two neutrons, so its charge is twice the proton's charge and the mass is four times greater. Therefore

TαTP=4mpmp×qp2qp

Tα=2Tp

As, Tp=5 μs
