The correct option is A 1.6 m/s2
FBD of blocks 2 kg and 3 kg :


For 2 kg block:

(50+2g)T=m2a
50+2×10T=2a
70T=2a...(1)

For 3 kg block:

T3g=m1aT30=3a...(2)

From (1) and (2)

7030=5a
40=5aa=8 m/s2

Therefore, accerlation of 3 kg block is upward and acceleration of 2 kg block is downwards.
Acceleration of COM,
acom=m1a1+m2a2m1+m2=3×8+2×(8)5=1.6 m/s2 [Taking upwards motion as positive ]

Hence, option (a) is the correct answer.
