By Pythagoras theorem,
$l^2=\frac{a^2}{2^2}+h^2$
${17}^2=\frac{a^2}{4}+{15}^2$
$a^2=256$ $=a=16cm$
Volume of the square pyramid $=\frac{1}{3}{a}^{2}h$
$=\frac{1}{3}\times {16}^2\times 15$
$=1280c{m}^3$.
