The correct option is C 48 cu units
We can see that there are 16 cubes in the given image.


Volume of each cube =1 cu unit

Volume of water in the tank = number of cubes × volume of each cube
=16×1=16 cu units
We know, a quarter of the tank is filled with water.
Thus, volume occupied by water =14×V, where V is the volume of the tank.
14×V=16

Volume of the tank V=16×4=64 cu units

The portion of the tank not occupied by water is occupied by air.
Hence, volume of air in the tank =64 16=48 cu units
