Tangential acceleration (at)=dvdt
Hence racer's at=3 m/s2
Applying kinematic equation:
v=u+at t
speed of racer at t=5 s:

v=0+3×5=15 m/s
The centripetal acceleration of racer is given by:
ac=v2r
ac=22540 m/s2


Hence, net acceleration of racer is given by:
anet=ac2+at2=(22521600)+9=650251600

anet=(15×17)2402

anet=25540=6.375 m/s2
