Question

A rainbow is formed when small water droplets pour down on earth in the form of rain and come in contact with sunlight Rays forming a spectrum. So, while raining we observe that rain droplets cover a large area of the atmosphere around us.The sunlight also comes in contact with the water droplets, thus causing the formation of spectrum. So, we have everything available for the formation of a rainbow. Then why does the rainbow form only in a particular area with the same shape every time? And why does the rainbow form only at the respected area and not everywhere wherever the sunlight and water droplets are coming in contact with eachother?

When we view the rainbow from large distance, deviation angle of light rays changes and therefore no dispersion occurs and we only see white light.
