where, c=speed of light in vaccum
Given,
ηbenzene=1.50
we know, c=3×108m/s & η=cv

vbenzene=cη=3×1081.5=2×108 m/s

% Reduction in speed of light

=cvc×100

=3×1082×1083×108×100

=1083×108×100

=33.33%.
