Solution

Concept : There is a direct formula for this kind of questions which is lateral displacement
x=(tcosr)sin(ir)
Here, t is thickness of slab
i is angle of incidence
r is angle of refraction.
Solution: Since, xαt
Hence the slab having more thickness will have maximum lateral displacement and vice versa.
So, slab 3 will have maximum lateral displacement whereas slab 1 will have minimum lateral displacement.
