At mirror 1, angle of incidence ∠i=45∘ ⇒∠r=∠i=45∘
Hence ∠r+∠i=90∘ i.e. ray will go horizontally at mirror 2.
Here ∠r=90∘−45∘=45∘ ∴∠i=∠r=45∘ ⇒∠i+∠r=90∘
Hence reflected ray goes past mirror, vertically. ∴ After 2 reflection, ray exist the system.
Hence, option (b) is the correct answer.
