The correct option is B 8 cm
Let, T1=time taken to reach from source to surface

T2=time taken to travel through glass slab

Speed in glass v=cμ where μ=1.6

Now S1=distance of source from the surface

and S2=thickness of slab=distance traveled in slab

T1=T2

S1c=S2v=S2μc

S1=1.6×5cm

S1=8cm

Hence, answer is option-(B).
