The speed of light is inversely proportional to the refractive index of the medium.
Given, the speed of light in medium I = u=2×108 m/s
The speed of light in medium II = v=1.5×108 m/s
Since u>v, so medium I is optically rarer medium than medium II.
When a ray of light passes from rarer to a denser medium it bends towards normal.
