Solution

Irreversible reactions are those reactions whose products cannot be converted back to reactants. These reactions proceed only in forward direction. They can proceed to completion. A reaction is said to be irreversible if either of the product escape out as gas or separate out as solid. When either of the products escape out as gas or separate out as solid, it cannot take part in the reverse direction. Hence, the reaction becomes irreversible.
