A rectangle of sides parallel to coordinate axes is shown in below figure. Find the remaining vertices coordinates.
B=(10,2)
C=(10,6)
D=(3,6)
Given A =(3,2) and sides are parallel to coordinate axes.
∴AB and CD are parallel to X-axis and AD,BC are parallel to Y-axis
∴ Y-coordinate of B =Y-coordinate of A
=2
X-coordinate of B= 7+X -coordinate of A
=7+3 =10
∴B=(10,2)
X-coordinate of D =X-coordinate of A = 3
Y-coordinate of D =4+ Y-coordinate of A = 4 +2 = 6
∴ D =(3,6)
Now Y-coordinate of C= Y-coordinate of D =6
X-coordinate of C=7+ X-coordinate of D = =7+3 =10
∴ C =(10,6)
