Area of rectangle = Length x Breadth
=18×8m2=144m2

Since, the area of square = area of the rectangle.
Therefore, area of square =144 m2

Let the side of the square be "a".
Then area of the square = a2
a2=144=(12×12) m2
a=122=12 m
