The correct option is A 12cm2
Let the breadth of the rectangle be b.
The length of rectangle be l=4 cm

Since, the diameter of the circle =5 cm

By using Pythagoras theorem,
BD2=BC2+CD2
52=l2+b2
25=42+b2
b=3 cm

Therefore, the area of the rectangle will be
=l×b
=4×3=12 cm2

Hence, this is the answer.
