Area of contact, $A = 1.5 m^{2}$
Acceleration due to gravity, $g = 10 m / s^{2}$

Force acting is equal to weight of the block:
$F = m g$
$F = 300 \times 10 = 3000 N$ [1 mark]

From definition of Pressure:
$P = \frac{F}{A}$
$P = \frac{3000 N}{1.5 m^{2}}$
$P = 2000 P a$ [2 marks]
